Video marketing has a unique way of connecting with your audience. Unlike other forms of online Medias, video has the ability to reach out and grab certain segments of your audience.
It’s important to understand that you will not create the same connection with everyone. In fact, the level of connection will vary greatly. Some will instantly connect with you on a deep level. Others will have a lighter, yet very respectful level. And still others will not connect with you at all.
This is partly to do with you and your delivery, but mostly, this is a very common thread with everyone. No one connects with everyone. Not even the Gurus. Their strength is in numbers they reach.
What you need is to have your message reach the masses so you can get in front of the people that do resonate with your message. Those are the people that will do business with you, buy your products or use your services.
Who do you want to speak to?
With that in mind, the key issue is learning how to share your particular story. Stories have the magical power of creating an instant bond with the RIGHT PEOPLE. The right people are people who see themselves in the story you are sharing.
One of my first lessons, whether I’m teaching video marketing, blogging, or simply online marketing, is to identify your specific target market. By taking the time to do that, you can identify several key things that are crucial to creating a connection with your audience.
As an example, if you can clearly identify your target market, you can also identify their concerns and problems. By identifying concerns and problems, you can get clues to where they may be found online, or what that particular market is searching for online.
Sharing your story
Another major advantage of clearly identifying your audience is knowing how to then approach your market to form that instant bond. Sharing a story, and more specifically, YOUR story, is what will resonate with people that are just like you.
Your mission is to tell your story and find a way to connect it to your product or service to it. An easy way to develop your story is to describe how you got involved with your product or service. Trust me when I tell you, some people will resonate with your story because it relates directly with them.
What if you don’t have a relevant story? Use a story from someone in your company. Relate a story from a customer. You can even make up a story, and understand that I’m not asking you to lie. However, you can easily start a monolog by saying, “What if you were stranded in the middle of the night…” from there you can develop a story that connects to your product or service.
Story telling is one of the best ways you can instantly create a bond, thereby developing the know, like and trust, then you create a link to your product or service, and BINGO, sales start coming in. All it takes is your consistency.
If you are serious about moving your business forward with video marketing, you now have a strong strategy that will help you toward that means. If you can make this a habit, you can succeed beyond your wildest dreams. I dare you to try.
Remember, “It’s your time to shine!”
