Anyone with a video camera can post a video on YouTube. However, if your goal is to market on YouTube to gain free targeted traffic that will translate into network marketing success, there are three things you need to keep in mind. Those things are educate, entertain, and inspire.
Let’s look at each of these and see how educate, entertain, and inspire can flood your business with laser targeted prospects. Realize that you don’t need to use all three strategies at once to get good results. But if you can muster the creativity to use all three, by all means do so. 1) Educate: Your business solves a problem. In fact, your business probably solves several problems. Identify those problems and articulate them in a video. Some of the most viewed videos on YouTube are educational videos. When using the “educate” angle, start by identifying as many different problems as you can that your business can solve. Prioritize the problems based on your prospects need’s. Then create individual videos based on articulating the problem and presenting your business as the solution.
At times, you want to offer tips and strategies that solve problems without mentioning your business. The idea is to offer value. Over time, people, whose problems you are solving, will come to know, like and trust you because you are offering true value.
2) Entertain: People want to be entertained. Create entertaining videos and your viewers will add them to their favorite’s account, and more importantly, they will pass them around to their friends. This is known as the “viral” effect. One entertaining video can get millions of hits within days. Has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen for those people that are creative enough. What type of funny spin can you put on your business?
Creativity is the key with entertainment. I recently saw a great little video that showed a 5 year old girl marketing a weight loss company. The video is called “So simple, even a 5 year old can explain it.” I’m in no way associated with that company, but one of my partners with my GVO business is involved with the company and he was the one that first showed me the video. He embedded the video on one of his lead capture pages. It works.
3) Inspire: Inspirational videos are very popular on YouTube. Inspirational videos can come in many different variations. Testimonials, positive inspiration, stories that detail how people have overcome despite major adversities and lots more, all fit into the inspirational category. Inspirational videos are very effective in getting people to act. How can you inspire your prospects? Go back to when you identified the problems your prospects are facing and outline the emotions these problems affect. Create videos that bring these emotions to the forefront.
4) Video capture pages: Creating custom made video capture pages that have your videos on them is a very effective way to gather leads for your business. Video lead capture pages are simple to create with GVO. These sites allow you to brand yourself, while at the same time, capturing your visitors name and email in order to be able to follow up with them later, either on the phone or through an auto-responder email campaign. It’s a very effective strategy for marketing your business.
Most people use video capture pages that are provided from their company. The problem with those sites are that they do very little to set you apart from everyone else in your company. However, when you go a step further by creating your own video capture pages, you set yourself apart from everyone else in your company. Essentially, your own video capture sites eliminates you competing with everyone else who is using the same capture pages your company provides. It brands you and sets you apart.
